Every year this time when the weather starts getting warm and the humidity is climbing you want to make sure your compressed air system is running in top form.  There is a myth that if you change the oil regularly there is nothing to worry about.

This is not true. Learn from us… industrial compressed air systems require periodic
maintenance to operate at peak
efficiency and to reduce costly
downtime. When your comp-
ressors draw in hot, humid air
they need to be in good condition
and the maintenance kept up. Inadequate maintenance can increase energy consumption due to lower compression efficiency, air leakage or pressure drops. Poor maintenance can also lead to high operating temperatures (often fatal), poor moisture control (deadly to quality), excessive contamination (ouch! more repair bills), and unsafe working environments. Generally, each of these starts as a minor issue, but can mushroom into big trouble if undetected and untreated.  Hot weather exasperates the problems.

Air Technologies is ready to team up with your maintenance supervisor/team to make sure your compressed air  system keeps running at peak efficiency. It’s a team effort and we stand ready to contribute our share to a winning maintenance strategy. We can provide preventive maintenance programs for all of your compressed air equipment.

Let’s prevent trouble: We believe that a compressed air system requires:
  • Care for the equipment
  • Monitoring of equipment performance
  • Scheduled routine and prompt emergency service.

OIL FREE AIR FROM....
Atlas Copco’s Oil-free Air division has announced that the company’s Z series of oil-free rotary screw air compressors is the first in the world to be TÜV certified ISO 8573-1 CLASS 0. Risk of any contamination by oil is effectively eliminated during food and beverage processing, pharmaceuticals manufacturing and packaging, electronics manufacturing, automotive paint spraying and powder coating as well as textile manufacturing. Certification was carried out using the most stringent test methods available, simulating realistic industrial installation environments. At all test conditions, no traces of oil could be determined and the compressed air was certified to be in the Category ‘Class 0’ in terms of oil content.  For more information on this certification please log onto www.classzero.com.

Did You Know....
At an ambient temperature of 75°F and 75% relative humidity, a typical 500 scfm air compressor takes in 90 gallons of water vapor every 24 hours. Discharging air at 100°F and 100 psig, a well-maintained after cooler may remove about 57 gallons. That leaves 33 gallons inside your air system. Producing a 38°F dew point a well maintained refrigerated dryer removes an additional 29 gallons.
