capacity coupled with automatic control of condensing pressure allow the TAEevo to operate at full rated capacity in ambient temperatures from 0°F to 109°F.

Service and inspection are simple. The controller enunciates over twenty individual alarms to provide instant troubleshooting.  Refrigeration controls are mounted with schrader fittings for ease of replacement.  All components are positioned to allow for easy access via removable casing panels. And the isolated condenser fan area allows the chiller to be operated with access panels removed.  Remote start/stop and alarm contacts are standard.  Remote monitoring capability is an available option.

TAEevo – intelligently designed to provide superior performance & energy savings, simple installation & operation, and ease of service.

Need something larger?  The Aries and Phoenix chillers from MTA are available in sizes up to 200 Tons, each available with built-in freecooling.  Application assistance is always just a phone call away - 513-218-9136.

Who is Responsible for Your Compressor Maintenance

Many companies perform their own preventive maintenance on their air compressor system.  This work usually includes changing the air and oil filters and the oil and oil separator.  There are many parts of the compressor that if not inspected and tested will fail causing a shut down situation.  The following is some of the parts that need to be inspected and tested during every service interval.

A 6-year-old and a 4-year-old are upstairs in their bedroom. "You know what?" says the 6-year-old. "I think it's about time we start cussing." The 4-year-old nods his head in approval. The 6-year-old continues. "When we go downstairs for breakfast I'm going to say hell and you say ass."

"OK!" The 4 year old agrees with enthusiasm.

Their mother walks into the kitchen and asks the 6-year-old what he wants for breakfast. "Aw hell, Mom, I guess I'll have some Cheerios."

WHACK! He flies out of his chair, tumbles across the kitchen floor, gets up, and runs upstairs crying his eyes out, with his mother in hot pursuit, slapping his rear every step. The mom locks him in his room and shouts "You can just stay there till I let you out!"

She then comes back downstairs, looks at the 4-year-old, and asks with a stern voice, "And what do YOU want for breakfast young man?

"I don't know," he blubbers, "But you can bet your ass it won't be Cheerios!"

Meet Mark Smith!
Mark is one of our service techs.  He has been with Air Technologies going on three years.  You can tell by looking at Mark that he used to be a face model. His face is on several bottles of Back-Yard BBQ sauce and This is Really Hot hot sauce.  He is a painter and actually has sold hundreds of paintings.  You may have seen him - he sells his paintings at Holiday Inn.  Sofa paintings start at $19.95.  These days he spends his spare time playing poker and singing in a barber shop quartet.

Mark used to be a bull rider in the rodeo until he got stabbed by a horn in the sackarilliack.  He holds two records at Gilleys for riding the mechanical bull the longest and getting tossed the farthest.

Mark loves to sew, he invented the toe socks - each toe is individually encased the same way that fingers are individually encased in a glove.  Next time you see Mark ask him to take off his shoes and show you his toe socks.

HIGH TEMPERATURE SWITCH
Failure of high temperature switch can lead to total compressor loss (fire) or major component failure (air end, coolers, etc.).
OIL STOP VALVE
Controls oil flow to air end.  A malfunctioning valve can cause the following conditions to exist:
-  High temperature shutdown due to
    low oil flow.
- Motor overload shutdown when unit
is started due to “liquid lock” if air
end is flooded with oil during
   compressor shutdown.
- Oil leaking out of air filter when unit
  shuts down.
- Flooded with oil during compressor
  shutdown.

MINIMUM PRESSURE VALVE
Controls pressure in sump tank.  A malfunctioning valve can cause the following conditions to exist:
- Unit will not load when unit is first started and system pressure is low.
- Sump will not completely blow down during unloading or when compressor shuts down.
INLET / UNLOADER VALVE
This valve controls air entering the air end.  A malfunctioning valve can cause the following conditions:
- Unit will not load.
- Unit will not unload, causing safety valve to blow.
- Vibration during unload to load.
DISCHARGE CHECK VALVE
This valve prevents air from entering air end when unit is off.  A malfunctioning valve can cause the following conditions:
- Air end turning backwards after unit is shut off.
- This can cause oil to be discharged out of the air filter.
- A valve sticking closed can prevent unit from loading.
REGULATOR / VENT VALVE
This valve controls air being sent to the unloader valve and controls the blow down of the sump.  A malfunctioning valve can cause the following conditions:
- Unit will not load.
- Unit will not unload and blow safety valve.
- Unit will not blow down sump.
- Unit will bleed air continuously, wasting air.
ADJUST LOAD / UNLOAD
Test both load and unload set points to make certain pressure switch or pressure sensor is operating correctly and that unit is operating at best set points for system demand.
If you are currently not performing these inspections and tests you are putting production at a risk.  For more information or you'd like a site visit by one of our air systems engineer please all 513-218-9136.
MTA TAEevo
Packaged Water Chillers
Designed specifically for the industrial process, these rugged chillers, with capacities ranging from 1/2 Ton to 35 Tons, provide a pre-engineered solution for even the most demanding cooling applications.  Whether it’s plastic molding, hydraulics, medical technologies or food processing the TAEevo provides reliable, energy efficient cooling 24/7.
The TAEevo’s compact design thoughtfully places all required components in a single, easily installed package.  From the environmentally friendly R-407c refrigeration plant and on-board water storage tank to the stainless steel circulation pump and expansion tank / fill kit, these chillers have it all.  Simply provide power and process piping, add water and reliable cooling capacity is always available.

The innovative finned coil evaporator located inside the water storage tank maximizes energy efficiency by reducing water pressure loss and maintaining high heat transfer efficiency.  The TAEevo utilizes the thermal mass of the stored water to allow simple cycling control of the refrigeration system to maintain desired chilled water supply temperatures at all process loads.  A non-cycling “Laser” version is also available for close temperature tolerance applications.

Each TAEevo chiller is equipped with IP54 electrical enclosures and powder-coated steel casing panels to allow simple outdoor installation.  Generous refrigerant condenser sizing and high fan
